About Our English-French Language Academy in Didsbury, South Manchester
Welcome to the English–French Language Academy. I created this academy to offer a warm, welcoming and genuinely supportive space for children, families and adults who want to learn French with confidence. As a native Parisian and a passionate educator, I bring authentic cultural knowledge and years of teaching experience to every lesson. Together, we make language learning enjoyable, meaningful and achievable for everyone in the Didsbury and South Manchester community.
My Story - From Paris To Manchester
I was born and raised in Paris, and French has always been a big part of who I am. When I moved to the UK in 2016, I discovered how challenging it can be to learn a new language well enough to feel confident. It took time, courage and lots of practice, but it also brought moments of joy, pride and connection that completely changed my life.
That journey opened my eyes to the power of language learning. It brings people together, builds confidence and creates new opportunities. I wanted children and families to experience that same sense of achievement, so I began teaching French in Manchester. What started as a personal passion soon grew into a mission. Today, the English–French Language Academy is a place where I share my culture, my language and my love of teaching with learners of all ages.
Our Values & How We Teach
We base our teaching on four core values: confidence, curiosity, creativity and respect.
We believe every child can learn a language when they feel safe to try, make mistakes and explore. Our lessons are friendly and encouraging, and we take the time to get to know each learner so they feel supported and motivated. Creativity keeps our lessons engaging, while curiosity helps students connect with the wider world. Respect guides everything we do, from classroom routines to the way we celebrate each student’s progress.
We use songs, stories, cultural moments, role play and fun interactive activities to make learning memorable. While lessons are enjoyable, they are also academically strong. We ensure that vocabulary, grammar and speaking skills are taught in a structured and meaningful way that supports long term learning.
My Experience & Ethos
Since moving to the UK, I have taught French in schools, delivered Modern Foreign Languages programmes and supported teachers with French curriculum planning. I have created resources for all ages and adapted lessons to suit a wide range of abilities and learning needs.
My teaching draws on the structured approach of the French education system combined with the creativity and child centred methods I have developed through years of hands on experience in Manchester classrooms.
One of the key strengths of the academy is our self made Scheme of Work, designed it to follow the National Curriculum closely while going deeper into vocabulary building and real world usage. Each unit builds on previous learning so that children can develop fluency step by step. The structure is clear for teachers, reassuring for parents and highly effective for students.
We also weave in cross curricular elements such as art, music, geography and culture. These connections help children understand the language more deeply and make meaningful links across subjects.
What Makes Us Different
We offer a personalised approach that puts the learner at the centre. We keep groups small so we can support each student individually. As native speakers, we bring genuine French culture, pronunciation and humour into our lessons. Families choose us because our teaching is warm, professional and rooted in real educational expertise.

Celebrating Our Students
The moments that mean the most to me are when a child suddenly realises they can do it. When a shy student speaks their first sentence. When someone remembers vocabulary from weeks ago. When a learner proudly shows their progress. These achievements are the heart of what we do. They show that confidence grows through encouragement, patience and meaningful practice.
Our Vision for the Future
We want to expand our reach so more families and schools across the local area who can benefit from high quality French education. Our goal is to build long term partnerships with schools, continue growing our weekend classes and create a community space where children feel excited to learn languages. We hope to help more families feel connected to the wider world by giving children the tools to communicate with confidence
Meet Your Teacher
I care deeply about every learner who walks into our classroom. Teaching French is not just my job. It is something I am genuinely passionate about. I celebrate small steps as much as big milestones, and I always aim to create a positive, nurturing environment where students feel safe to try new things. My ultimate goal is for children to leave our lessons feeling proud, capable and inspired to explore the world.
